The BEETtv – Your new favorite television show.
The BEETtv is a brand new, student-run music television show created by producers Christina Compere and Ayanna Zulu, who are both students at Florida A&M University. The BEETtv is here to bring YOU, the viewer, all things music related – album reviews, top news, new artists, and, of course, the hottest music! And because we’re cool like that (word to Digable Planets), we’ll even feature a little comedy,too. Our show reaches over 80,000 television screens, and can also be streamed here on the website. So, tune in at 9 p.m, and keep it rockin’ with The BEETtv!
New York native Christina Compere and Ayanna Zulu from Atlanta both arrived at FAMU with the same vision, which is to; gain knowledge, carefully plan, and execute their visions through journalism.
Compere, a broadcast student with a love for television and Zulu, a public relations student with a passion for music came in collaboration in the summer of 2013. The BEETtv was not only to express their ideas about music but to build on factual musical reviews and entertainment. Zulu and Compere wanted to break the ice with entertainment on FAMU's channel TV20 by gathering over 30 students for a dynamic production team.
Hard work and dedication is not all that brought these two to this point, a great team with clear sight of the vision for campus and community outreach, love for music and positivity is what makes The BEETtv.
